[edit] Information
Tour through four decades of British history as viewed from the perspective of amateur filmmakers and home-movie enthusiasts. Capturing the quickening pace of social change from the 1930s to the 1960s, this series shows just how radically things would alter during those eventful times. Economic depression, war and technological progress would all impact heavily upon society. Some aspects of everyday life would fade into history, while others remained reassuringly familiar, seemingly impervious to turmoil.
[edit] Chapter 1: The 30s on Film

[edit] Chapter 2: The 40s on Film

[edit] Chapter 3: The 50s on Film
Archive footage captured by amateur film-makers in the 1950s, as the nation recovered from war and the economy started to flourish.
[edit] Chapter 4: The 60s on Film
Archive footage from the amateur film-makers who used Super-8 cameras and colour film to capture the dynamism that characterised the 1960s.
